NEW BOOK
In 2006 American Patchwork & Quilting magazine hosted its Quilt Pink Event where they asked quilters to create quilts that would be auctioned on eBay® with the proceeds going to Susan G. Komen For The Cure, a charity raising money to fight breast cancer. The response was overwhelming. Thousands and thousands of people from all over the United States came together and formed quilting circles to save lives—one stitch at a time. In all, nearly 4,000 fabulous quilts were donated—all carefully crafted and simply breathtaking—and this lovely book showcases 120 of these beautiful works of art. This book is a joy to look at and a true inspiration to read, whether you quilt or not. But quilters will love that step-by-step instructions for 50 of the blocks showcased here are included—such as a pretty pieced butterfly or a striking striped square—complete with full-sized patterns. All of the patterns are for 9-inch squares, so it will be a snap to mix and match them.
